The Dock
Gilded by the tinge of flame
The Sun begins to hide again
The waters breath amidst the rest
A family bound without a crest

Arm in arm and hand in hand
Closest are we despite the land
That separates the kindred soul
From the welcome sight of old

Somewhere time suspends the worth
Of moments like these here on earth
Again will we sit upon the dock
Free from the shackles of the clock

For Heaven observes the paths we’ve chosen
And smiles in earnest at the family woven
By the love of cousins and sincere devotion
We face our trials with hearts that are open

And if one falls, I know that surely
All will catch within a hurry
And when darkness bold begins to knock
Return with me to our place on the dock
