Blue-lit Balcony
Oh how much has happened since I last
Wrote in this notebook which
Contains
The fragments of poems
Adoring words
A life which once
was
The candid love laid bare
Expressed no more
Save an eager dream
A timid thought
I know so little in this
Great life I’ve lived
Quietly walking on
Having been taught
The sincerest
Joy
When I die
I know what I wish to see
From my happiest days
In bed with you
Cuddled in our loft
The warm home we made
Together
Winter time and
The vivid gleam
Imbued with love
Of our Christmas tree
And blue-lit balcony
